Dory was the one person I was most looking forward to calling and surprising her when I was locating classmates for our 50 year reunion! These were the hard moments of that labor of love! Dory was nicknamed (proudly, I believe!) "The Witch" because of her long black hair, as well as the popular song of the day! She was a fun friend to have. She owned a parrot and often came to school with bite marks on her face or fingers! Dori's language was pretty salty, and so was her parrots! LOL! I encountered her in the late 70's and visited her at her home. Things had changed! She had children and when I asked about the parrot's language, she said, "Oh No! He doesn't talk that way anymore!" When asked how she accomplished that, she said she just threw a cover over his cage every time he used bad language!! She married Al Vike, a BHS alum. RIP Dear Dory!
